XVIII meeting of the Aral-Syrdarya Basin Council is to take place on 2 and 3 March 2017 in Kyzylorda.
The key issues discussed during the meeting on 2 March:
- Water allocation and water limits for irrigation in South Kazakhstan region and Kyzylorda region. Decisions were adopted and recommendations made for the government regulation rules for Shardara reservoir and Koksarai counter controller;
- Analytical report on deterioration of several water quality parameters in the Syrdarya river in the section from Shymkent to Kyzylorda on the territory of Kazakhstan was presented and discussed;
